Service Director – Strategic Commissioning, Partnerships and Provider Services

As Service Director, you will spearhead the development and implementation of our evolving commissioning arrangements to meet the needs of our communities. You will ensure that care services provided by or commissioned by Kirklees are of the highest standard.

In this role, you will:

  • Create a culture of high expectations in social care that is meaningful and understood at all levels.
  • Ensure a clear line of sight from strategic intent to practical delivery, impacting the lived experience of local people.
  • Drive strategic commissioning vision for social care and health, ensuring value for money and high-quality, personalized services.
  • Support a culture of transparency, where challenge and scrutiny are viewed as opportunities to learn and improve.
  • Lead relationships with Mental Health, Learning Disability, the Independent Sector providers, and Kirklees Care Association.
